  • Gilroy Garlic Festival - July 2019
    • A responding officer at the Gilroy Garlic Festival Active Shooter event utilized his TacMed Pocket Medical Kit to save a victim, using a SOF Tourniquet to stop bleeding from a gunshot wound to the victim's arm. 

  • NYPD - July 2019
    • Officers from NYPD's 21st Precinct saved the life of a man who attempted suicide with their department-issued SOF Tourniquet.

  • NYPD - May 2019
    • When a construction worker fell off a ladder and suffered a deep laceration to his arm, two officers from the NYPD 1st Precinct knew exactly what to do. They applied a tourniquet to prevent severe blood loss, likely saving the man's life.

  • Albuquerque - April 2019
    • Responding to a shots fired call, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were told AK-47 rounds had struck a neighbor's house. A TEMS medic on scene ran into the house with only a SOF Tourniquet and BLAST Bandage. He found the mother lying in bed with a 4-month-old child. The mother took a round to the elbow that caused severe life-threatening damage. The medic applied the tourniquet and said the application was super easy and stopped the bleeding right away. He then applied the BLAST Bandage.

  • Unknown Location - Law Enforcement Save via ITS Tactical - March 2019
    • An officer used a SOF Tactical Tourniquet Wide as the second tourniquet in a double application on a robbery victim suffering a gunshot wound to the lower leg.

  • Devon and Cornwall, UK - February 2019
    • Two officers with the Devon and Cornwall Police used their issued SOF Tourniquet to save someone from a suicide attempt. The tourniquet was applied when the officers arrived and found the victim bleeding profusely from the wrist. The receiving surgeon said that the tourniquet application saved the victim's life.

  • Queens, NY - February 2019
    • A Queens cop on her way to work rescued a badly-bleeding motorcyclist from a hit-and-run accident. The officer saw the woman on the side of the road and, after pulling over to help, realized the victim was bleeding badly from a 2-inch wound on her arm. The officer immediately put her training to use and applied her department-issued SOF Tourniquet, a decision that EMTs said likely saved the woman's life.

  • NYPD - January 2019
    • An officer heroically rendered aid to an individual who suffered a severe arterial wound by applying her SOF Tourniquet, most likely saving the man's life. The SOF Tactical Tourniquet Wide is standard issue for the NYPD.
